- Library – one of the oldest and most important foundations of civilization, the repository of knowledge and spiritual wisdom, national memory, cultural and scientific heritage of many generations. In our university libraries are always glad to see students and teachers.
- Formation of the university library is inextricably linked with the history of the formation and development of Zhetysu State University, founded in 1972 as Taldykorgan Pedagogical Institute. Library staff at the time consisted of three employees, and library fund was formed from disparate collections, libraries, institutions and organizations of Education Systems.
- On September 20, 2004 at a meeting of the Scientific Council of the university, it was decided to assign the name of the university library Gali Ormanov.
- Now a multi-library fund ZhSU named after I.Zhansugurov has more than 500 thousand. Copies. Directions of library activities

The library provides access to scientific databases: Thomson Reuters, Elsevier, Polpred.com, EBS publishing house “Lan” RMEB, Unified electronic library, virtual scientific library.
